Everton full-back Stenevik signs new two-year deal

Everton’s Norwegian full-back Elise Stenevik has signed a two-year contract extension with the club.

The Blue Girls announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

The 24-year-old defender joined Everton back in summer 2022 following a spell playing her football in Sweden with former Damallsvenskan club Eskilstuna United DFF. Since moving to the English game, Stenevik has made 31 appearances for Everton in the Barclays Women’s Super League in which she has scored one goal.

Everton have been known for their solid defensive qualities over the last two seasons and Stenevik has played an important part in what the club have achieved. She will be hoping to enjoy two more successful campaigns on Merseyside after extending her contract with the club.

After signing on again at Walton Hall Park, Stenevik said “I’m very pleased to extend my stay here. I always wanted to stay at Everton, so I’m very happy we could make it happen.

“I’m really enjoying my football here. Especially when you look at our last few games and the results we’ve picked up. It’s been really good for the team.”

Stenevik becomes the first player to sign a new contract with Everton during the close season.
