Aston Villa have completed the signing of former Liverpool midfielder Miri Taylor on a two-year deal with the option of a further year.
WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Villans this afternoon.
Taylor joins Aston Villa on a free transfer after being released by former club Liverpool at the end of the 2023/2024 campaign. The 24-year-old midfielder enjoyed a successful loan spell at Aston Villa in the second half of last season.
During her temporary spell with Aston Villa, Taylor made eight appearances for the club in the Barclays Women’s Super League. She helped The Villans to achieve a seventh-place finish. The player has unfinished business at Villa Park and she will be hoping to make her mark under new boss Robert de Pauw this season.
After bringing Taylor back to Aston Villa on a permanent basis, the club’s Head of Women’s Football, Lee Billiard said “Miri had a good loan spell with us last season and she showed her capabilities both in matches and on the training pitch.
“Miri is a great person to have around the building and we have no doubt she will continue to develop within our environment and play an important role within the squad.”
Taylor is Aston Villa’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window.
