Crystal Palace have completed the signing of former Everton defender Katrine Veje on a free transfer.
The Eagles announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.
Veje joins Crystal Palace after leaving former club Everton earlier this summer. The 33-year-old spent two seasons on Merseyside in which she made 27 appearances for Everton in the Barclays Women’s Super League. Veje has also turned out for the likes of Seattle Reign FC, Brøndby IF, Montpellier HSC, Arsenal and FC Rosengård in her long playing career. She has won seven league titles in four different countries.
On the international stage, Veje has been capped by Denmark on 160 occasions in which she has scored nine goals.
After joining Crystal Palace, Veje said “I’m super, super happy to join Crystal Palace. It’s a really good project and you can tell the club really want to invest in this women’s team.
“For me, it’s important to come in and feel valuable, and I think it’s going to be a very interesting season.”
Veje becomes Crystal Palace’s first signing of the summer transfer window. She will be a member of a Crystal Palace team that will play Barclays Women’s Super League football for the very first time in 2024/2025.
