Former Southampton goalkeeper Beth Howard has joined FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division club Oxford United on a free transfer.
The Yellows announced news of the deal via a post on their official club website just a short time ago.
Howard joins Oxford United after leaving former club Southampton at the end of last season.
The keeper joined Southampton from Bridgwater United during the January 2023 transfer window. In her time with The Saints, Howard made three appearances for the club in the Barclays Women’s Championship. She also provided important cover for first-choice keeper Kayla Rendell.
With minutes in short supply, Howard spent the end of last season with former second tier side Watford.
After sealing her move to Oxford United, Howard said “I’m absolutely thrilled to get the deal done and sign for Oxford United.
“This is a team that is pushing forward and you can see the direction of travel and that is something that I really wanted to be part of.
“I want to bring success to this team and I can’t wait to get started with my new teammates.”
Howard will be hoping to help Oxford United seal a long-awaited return to the Barclays Women’s Championship this season.
