Sheffield United forward Chenè Muir has joined FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division club Derby County.
The Ewe Rams announced news of the transfer via a post on their official club X account this morning.
The 18-year-old attacker joins Derby County on a permanent deal after spending the last six years with former club Sheffield United.
Muir is a product of the The Blades’ well-respected academy system. The teenager was promoted to the Sheffield United first team by former boss Neil Redfearn towards the end of the 2021/2022 campaign. Muir made her senior debut for The Blades as they lost 1-0 at Blackburn Rovers on the opening day of the 2022/2023 Barclays Women’s Championship season. Since making her debut for the South Yorkshire side, Muir has clocked up 27 appearances for the club.
The player now joins a Derby County side that have long-term ambitions of reaching the women’s professional game. The Ewe Rams finished last season in seventh position in the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division table but they have recruited well so far this summer. Derby County will be hoping to gradually climb the table in the coming seasons.
Muir becomes the tenth confirmed departure at Sheffield United this summer.
