Charlton Athletic have completed the signing of Southampton midfielder Atlanta Primus on a season-long loan deal.
The Addicks announced the news via a post on their official club website this evening.
Charlton Athletic agreed the deal prior to the closure of the transfer window at the end of last week.
The 27-year-old Jamaican international midfielder is very experienced at Barclays Women’s Championship level having played in the second tier for the last four seasons. Primus netted 15 goals in 58 league outings during a three-year spell with London City Lionesses before making 14 appearances for Southampton in the Barclays Women’s Championship last season.
Primus is a quality player at Barclays Women’s Championship level. She boasts an attacking mindset and a keen eye for goal. The player will be hoping to help Charlton Athletic continue their winning start to the season.
After joining Charlton Athletic, Primus said “I’m delighted to have signed [for the club] and I can’t wait to see everyone down at The Valley on Sunday. Up The Addicks!”
Primus is Charlton Athletic’s ninth signing of the summer transfer window. The player could make her debut for the South East Londoners in their top of the table clash with Durham at The Valley on Sunday afternoon.
