Birmingham City’s teenage attacker Pullen joins West Brom on dual-registration deal

Birmingham City’s teenage attacker Millie Pullen has joined FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division club West Bromwich Albion on a dual-registration basis.

The Baggies announced news of the transfer via a post on their official club website last night.

The 19-year-old Republic of Ireland youth international briefly broke into the Birmingham City squad at the end of last season. She made two substitute appearances for the Blues in the Barclays Women’s Championship.

The youngster cannot be guaranteed regular minutes for Amy Merricks’ side this season therefore Birmingham City have allowed the player to join third tier West Bromwich Albion on a dual-registration basis. During her time with The Baggies, Pullen is expected to be available to feature for parent club Birmingham City at Professional Game Academy League level.

After adding Pullen to the West Bromwich Albion squad, head coach Siobhan Hodgetts-Still said “Millie is another great addition to our squad. She is an exciting young player who has already had some exposure at Championship level. She has lots of great qualities, in particular her pace and finishing.

“We are looking forward to working with her and helping continue her development.”

Pullen could make her West Bromwich Albion debut against Northampton Town in the FAWNL Cup tomorrow.
