Everton have opted to recall teenage defender Issy Hobson from her loan spell with Sheffield United.
The Toffees confirmed the news via a post on their official club website earlier today.
The 17-year-old joined Sheffield United on loan in January and she was set to remain with the South Yorkshire side until the end of the campaign, however, her services are now required by her parent club with Everton currently short of defensive options.
In her time with Sheffield United, Hobson made seven appearances for the club in all competitions. She has enjoyed the benefit of having a run of regular starts at senior level.
Hobson is rated highly by parent club Everton. The youngster first appeared in The Toffees’ senior squad in the second half of last season and she grabbed the headlines almost a year ago as she netted her first goal in a 1-1 draw with Arsenal at Walton Hall Park. Hobson has continued to be a valuable member of Brian Sørensen’s squad this term, although minutes have been limited.
Everton boss Sørensen can now call on Hobson’s services for the club’s last four matches. The Toffees are next in action when they face Manchester City at The Joie Stadium on Sunday.
