Manchester United forward Williams signs new deal

Manchester United’s veteran forward Rachel Williams has signed a new one-year contract with the club.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Red Devils this morning.

The 37-year-old evergreen attacker started out on her professional footballing journey back in 2004 and she will now play on in her 22nd year.

Williams joined Manchester United back in 2022 and she has been an important squad player for The Red Devils. The player has made 79 appearances for Manchester United in all competitions in which she has scored 21 goals.

It is fair to say that Williams is the ultimate professional and she shows no signs of hanging up her boots just yet. She will be hoping to make another important contribution to Manchester United’s season in 2025/2026.

After signing on again with Manchester United, Williams said “I am delighted to be continuing at Manchester United. The growth we have seen over the last few years has been great to be a part of and I look forward to lending my experience to this exciting squad and continuing to play my part in the squad.”

Williams is the first player to sign a contract extension with Manchester United since the end of last season.
