The 29-year-old has spent the last 18 months with Slavia Prague in what is her second spell with the club. Votíková is no stranger to Arsenal fans with the player having turned out for the club’s North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur during the 2023/2024 season. The keeper has also played for Viktoria Plzeň and Paris Saint-Germain in her career to date.
On the international stage, Votíková has been capped by Czechia on 56 occasions. She has been in and around the national team environment for more than a decade.
After signing on loan at Arsenal, Votíková said “It feels amazing to join this special club. Arsenal is one of the biggest clubs in the world, with a special team and special supporters, so it’s a huge honour for me to come here. It’s been a dream of mine to play at Emirates Stadium and I can’t wait to get started.”
Votíková will provide competition for Arsenal’s goalkeeping jersey in her time with the club.
