Nottingham Forest midfielder Alana Murphy has signed a new contract with the club until summer 2028.
WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Tricky Trees this evening.
The 20-year-old joined Nottingham Forest from German club SC Sand back in February. She initially penned terms until next summer but she has opted to remain at The City Ground for a further year.
Murphy made eight starts for Nottingham Forest in the final three months of the 2025/2026 Barclays WSL2 season. She scored in The Reds’ 1-1 draw with Newcastle United at Gateshead International Stadium in April. The player has much more to achieve with Nottingham Forest over the course of the next two seasons.
After signing on again Trentside, Murphy said “I am super-happy to have signed this new deal with the club. I settled into the group really well last season, and I’m grateful to everyone for making me feel so welcome.
“It’s exciting to experience a new part of the world at a new club, and we have big ambitions as a team. I’m looking forward to playing my part in helping us achieve them.”
Further Nottingham Forest squad news will be announced in due course.
