Everton confirm permanent deal for Kramžar

Everton have confirmed that they have signed Slovenian international midfielder Zara Kramžar on a permanent basis.

The Toffees announced the news via a post on their official club website earlier today.

The 20-year-old joined Everton on loan from Italian Serie A Women Athora club AS Roma in February. The deal included an obligation for the Merseysiders to buy the player in the close season. Everton have confirmed that they have paid an undisclosed fee to AS Roma and Kramžar is now their player.

Kramžar made eight appearances for Everton in all competitions last season. Her only goal came in The Toffees’ Merseyside derby defeat to Liverpool. Scott Phelan’s side went down 3-2 to The Reds at Goodison Park in March. Everton won more than half of the league matches in which Kramžar featured at the back end of last season.

Kramžar is one of the brightest young players to come out of Slovenian football. She started out with ŽNK Ljubljana before joining AS Roma in 2022. Kramžar forced her way into the AS Roma side while she also enjoyed an 18-month loan spell with Como prior to joining Everton.

Details of Kramžar’s contract length with Everton have not been disclosed by the club.
