PREVIEW: Brighton & Hove Albion v Arsenal

Arsenal will be hoping to maintain their five-point advantage at the top of the Barclays FA Women’s Super League table when they take on Brighton & Hove Albion at The People’s Pension Stadium on Sunday.

The Gunners have won their last two league matches, scoring eight goals in the process. This weekend’s opponents Brighton & Hove Albion are also in good form, they have won each of their last two matches against Reading and Aston Villa.

Brighton & Hove Albion have enjoyed good health in their squad this season with The Seagulls having to juggle very few injuries across the campaign. Manager Hope Powell has confirmed that there are one or two niggles in the squad going into this weekend. She could keep faith with the side which battled so well against Aston Villa last time out.

Arsenal head coach Jonas Eidevall has confirmed that United States international Tobin Heath will miss the game with the player requiring an injection in her knee. All other players will be available for selection. Eidevall could opt for some squad rotation given the club’s hectic schedule in March.

The Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixture between Brighton & Hove Albion and Arsenal is scheduled to kick-off at 6.45pm on Sunday evening.
