WEEKLY UPDATE: Manchester City Women Official Supporters’ Club #1

Welcome to our group’s first-ever weekly update on the new FAWSL Full-Time website.

Over the last few days, we have been busily preparing for our trip to Wembley this weekend for the SSE Women’s FA Cup Final where we will take on an ever-improving West Ham United side.

Our group booking is our biggest ever and we encourage all Blues fans to come along and join us in cheering the girls on.¬†City themselves have kindly provided free coach travel to Wembley and now that our men’s English Premier League fixture no longer clashes, we are hoping for a bumper turn out!

We are, of course, disappointed to miss out on the FA Women’s Super League title this season, but congratulations must go to Arsenal, they have been excellent and overcome some serious injury problems to claim top spot. We finished our home programme with a tough 2-1 victory over Yeovil Town on Sunday and are actually still unbeaten, a record that will be tested to the limit at Arsenal in our final FA Women’s Super League fixture of the season.

Everyone here at Manchester City Women Official Supporters’ Club is proud of the community which we have built in and around our group. We continue to innovate and grow, as indeed women’s football does the same. We would like to thank Dan and everyone at FAWSL Full-Time for this season, our first in partnership. Our members love the magazine and will hopefully engage with the new website just as enthusiastically.

We have loved meeting fans up and down the country and will do so again next season. If you are heading to Wembley on Saturday, please come and say hello and if not, we will see you for another update next week.
