Welcome to another weekly update from Manchester City Women Official Supporters’ Club.
We hope that you are all enjoying the thrills and spills of the FIFA Women’s World Cup, both those who are out there in France as well as our fans watching the action unfold on television back home.
After last week’s mass get together for the England and Scotland game, we here at Manchester City Women OSC have been finally taking things a little slower this week, at least our members not out travelling the length and breadth of France have. Those following the Lionesses have certainly put in the miles this week to get to the Scotland and Argentina games, all worthwhile of course given the results.
The focus switches to the Japan game of course, with the result defining who we play in the knockout stages. Our members following Scotland also have a massive game this week. It must be said that Shelley Kerr’s side have been a little unlucky so far but a win against Argentina could just sneak them through as one of the four best third placed teams. Good luck to both nations and safe travels to our members and all supporters.
Away from the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019, our seasoncard renewals have been put up online this week meaning that seats are being secured for the new FA Women’s Super League season. Some members of our group have also been very busy designing some new merchandise. We are looking to launch new items which celebrate our double winning achievements of last season as well as some brand new merchandise which fans can enjoy throughout the new season. All will be revealed shortly so please keep an eye on our social media over the next few weeks. Running the Manchester City Women OSC is a continuous job but we absolutely love it and it means the world to have the support of our ever-growing group of members.
Hope you all continue to enjoy the FIFA Women’s World Cup and we will be back again next week.
Dave (Committee member – MCWFC OSC)
