FA Women’s Championship club Durham have completed the signing of Middlesbrough forward Eleanor Dale according to The Wildcats’ official website.
The teenager moves to New Ferens Park following a bright start to the season with Middlesbrough where she netted 11 goals in just 10 matches.
Dale has been handed the number 19 shirt by Durham and she could make her debut for Lee Sanders’ side when they entertain Leicester City in the FA Women’s Championship next weekend.
The player has recently been in the England Under-18 side and she will be aiming to push for a call-up to the Under-19s group with some good performances in the second tier of the women’s game.
In other news at New Ferens Park, Northern Ireland international midfielder Megan Bell has opted to leave Durham. The player moved to the North East in the summer following a spell with Linfield. Bell combined her off-field studies with playing FA Women’s Championship football for Durham but she has opted to leave the club to solely focus on a full-time career in the game.
Bell scored one goal for The Wildcats and her performances in midfield regularly attracted positive comments. The player could now target a move to a full-time club for the second half of the season.
