West Ham United have completed the signing of teenage defender Filippa Wallen from Swedish club IF Brommapojkarna according to official club media sources.

West Ham United have not revealed the length of Wallen’s contract at Rush Green, however, the player has been handed the number 13 shirt for the remainder of the season.
Wallen is a left-back by trade and is known for her regular dashes down the wing. The player has impressed during a period playing in the Elitettan Women division in Sweden, the second tier of women’s football in that country.
The defender will have to wait for her international clearance to come through before she is able to make her debut for The Hammers. Wallen could be available when West Ham United face Tottenham Hotspur at The Hive in a London derby next weekend.
Wallen has represented Sweden at Under-17 level on the international stage and the player will be hoping that the move to the FA Women’s Super League will enhance her chances of collecting further honours for the national side in the future.
