Manchester City Women OSC members meet Brazilian Manchester City supporters Kamila and Gustavo

WEEKLY UPDATE: Manchester City Official Supporters’ Club #37

Welcome to this week’s Manchester City Women Official Supporters’ Club update.

Obviously, the major talking point around both our club and our fans this week has been Nick Cushing’s decision to move on and accept a job as assistant manager at New York City.

This has already been debated elsewhere on the website by Emma Shone and I would recommend that you take time out to read her great review of Nick’s City career under the Manchester City news section.

What we feel we need to say as a group is thank you to Nick, not only for the success and memories which he has created on the pitch, but for his support for our OSC off it too. We have some plans to thank him personally before he jets off and we will keep you all informed. Nick is a top manager and a genuine nice guy who we will miss and who we wish every success in his new role.

Recently two friends of ours for many years, Kamila and Gustavo from Brazil, won a Manchester City Official Supporters Club competition to fly to Manchester, attend a game at The Etihad Stadium and stay at the club. They have been keen supporters of our women’s team since the start and have interacted with us over social media for many years. We arranged to finally meet them while they were over here. It was a very special and emotional occasion. We gave them a few OSC goodies to take home along with the bags of stuff they had from the City Store too.

This week sees us travel to two away games at Sheffield United and Birmingham City. If you are coming along, please come over and meet us. We will again be selling issue 18 of FA Women’s Super League Full-Time Magazine at both games (and any remaining copies of issue 17), as well as our usual array of badges and keyrings.

Safe travels and enjoy your football this week.
