Sunday’s FA Women’s Super League clash between title rivals Arsenal and Chelsea at Meadow Park has been officially declared a sell-out.
The Gunners face a huge six-pointer at the top of the table and it has now been revealed that the two clubs will be backed by 4,500 fans.
Arsenal announced the news that the match had completed sold out earlier today, five days ahead of matchday.

While the fixture will be a rare sell-out for The Gunners at Meadow Park, the attendance will not beat the current record for a match held at an FA Women’s Super League club’s ‘nominated’ home ground. Chelsea currently hold this accolade with 4,790 fans having packed into Kingsmeadow for their fixture against Manchester United on Women’s Football Weekend in November.
Chelsea travel to Boreham Wood on Sunday four points behind The Gunners in the FA Women’s Super League table. They have a game in hand on their London rivals meaning that victory over Joe Montemurro’s side will bring the destiny of the title back into their own hands.
The Blues have won each of their last three fixtures against Arsenal including an excellent 2-1 victory at Meadow Park in the FA Women’s Super League last season prior to The Gunners going on to lift their first title in almost seven years.
