Bristol City have laid down a statement of their intentions to stay in the FA Women’s Super League beyond this season with The Robins having announced three signings earlier this evening.
The club have brought in a defender in Faye Bryson, midfielder Megan Wynne and an international striker in the form of South Korean striker Jeon Ga-Eul.
Young defender Bryson has arrived from Everton on a permanent deal. The player has been with The Blue Girls since 2015 and has scored one goal which came against Aston Villa in the 2017 FA Women’s Super League 2 Spring Series.
Welsh international Wynne joins from Tottenham Hotspur on a loan deal until the end of the season. The 26-year-old was a mainstay of the Spurs team that won promotion from the FA Women’s Championship in 2018/2019.
Forward Jeon arrives with a wealth of experience having scored 38 international goals in 101 appearances for South Korea. At club level, she has found success playing in her homeland as well as enjoying stints in the United States with the Western New York Flash and in Australia with Melbourne Victory.
Wynne and Bryson are expected to be available to feature against Liverpool at the Stoke Gifford Stadium on Sunday. South Korean forward Jeon must wait for international clearance before making her Bristol City debut.
