Durham and Aston Villa were the two FA Women’s Championship clubs who pushed their higher division opponents the furthest in the fourth round. The Wildcats lost 1-0 after extra-time at Bristol City while Villa went down 3-2 at home to Brighton & Hove Albion.
Struggling Lewes were almost on the other end of a possible giant-killing. The Rookettes drew 1-1 with Billericay Town, the lowest ranked side in the competition, at The Dripping Pan before eventually winning the tie 5-4 on penalty kicks.
Sue Smith and Rachel Brown-Finnis will pull the balls out of the hat at BBC headquarters at Media City in Salford on Monday evening. The fifth round ties will be played on the weekend of 15-16 February.
