Manchester United will be hoping to return to winning ways when they take on Reading at Adams Park in the FA Women’s Super League on Sunday afternoon.
The Red Devils were defeated 3-2 by Manchester City in the Women’s FA Cup fourth round last weekend while their hopes of reaching the FA Women’s Continental League Cup final for the first time were ended by Chelsea in midweek.
Casey Stoney’s side come up against a Reading side who have been inconsistent in recent weeks. The Royals have lost three and won two of their first five matches of 2020, although it should be noted that their defeats have come at Chelsea, Arsenal and Everton. Reading’s home form is better with Kelly Chambers’ side having won their last two at Adams Park against Tottenham Hotspur (3-1) and Birmingham City (1-0).
Manchester United take to the road for the first time since 11 December when they won 3-1 at Birmingham City in the FA Women’s Continental League Cup. The Red Devils have not won away from the Leigh Sports Village in the FA Women’s Super League since 13 October when they defeated Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 at The Hive.
The match is scheduled to kick-off at 2pm with admission available to both sets of fans on matchday.
