Bristol City will play at Ashton Gate for the second time this season after battling to a goalless draw with Brighton & Hove Albion at the same venue of the opening day of this season’s FA Women’s Super League.
The Robins find themselves in the fifth round of this season’s Women’s FA Cup after seeing off FA Women’s Championship club Durham after extra-time in the fourth round at the Stoke Gifford Stadium. The scores were tied at 0-0 after 90 minutes before Bristol City midfielder Katie Robinson netted the winner in extra-time.
Everton had to overcome both the conditions and a well-drilled London Bees outfit to reach the fifth round. Inessa Kaagman’s stunning effort was the difference between the two sides on a sand-covered surface at The Pure Stadium in Southport.
Bristol City’s fifth round tie against Everton is one of just two all-FA Women’s Super League ties with Chelsea’s home clash with Liverpool being the other.
