Bristol City have opted to move their FA Women’s Super League fixture with Manchester United from their usual Stoke Gifford Stadium home to Ashton Gate according to reports on the club’s official website.
The Robins will appear at the men’s traditional home for the third time this season, although Tanya Oxtoby’s side have a poor record at the venue so far in 2019/2020.
Bristol City hosted their FA Women’s Super League 2019/2020 season opener against Brighton & Hove Albion at Ashton Gate in September but the two sides played out a dull goalless draw before The Robins again fired blanks as they were hammered 5-0 by Everton in their Women’s FA Cup fifth round tie in BS3 last month.
It has today been revealed that Bristol City’s third visit to Ashton Gate will come next month when Oxtoby’s side take on Manchester United. The Robins will face The Red Devils at the venue on Saturday 25 April and the match will kick-off at 1pm. Bristol City will be looking to complete an unlikely league double over United after Ebony Salmon’s first half goal fired The Robins to a shock 1-0 victory over Casey Stoney’s side in the reverse fixture at the Leigh Sports Village in January.
Bristol City Women Season Cards will be valid for the match while men’s Season Card holders can buy tickets priced at £3 Adults, £2 Under-22s and Over-65s and £1 Under-19s while Under-12s will be admitted free of charge.
Admission for non-Season Card holders will be priced at £6 Adults, £4 Under-22s and Over-65s, £3 Under-19s and £1 Under-12s.
