Arsenal have confirmed that both legs of their UEFA Women’s Champions League quarter-final tie with French club Paris Saint-Germain have been postponed according to reports on the club’s official website.
The Gunners were due to welcome Olivier Echouafni’s side to Meadow Park on Wednesday 25 March before travelling to Paris for the second leg one week later.
With UEFA having met to discuss the situation surrounding the Coronavirus crisis on Tuesday, it has now officially been confirmed that all of the UEFA Women’s Champions League quarter-final ties have been postponed and will hopefully be rearranged for a later date. There are currently no plans for when the competition will recommence with much of Europe being in limbo at the present time.
Arsenal have confirmed that refunds for pre-purchased tickets for the home leg at Meadow Park are currently available. Should you wish to claim a refund, please call the club’s Box Office on 0207 619 5000 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively, tickets will be available for the rearranged fixture whenever that game is played.
Women’s domestic football is currently suspended until 3 April due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Arsenal’s next scheduled fixture is on Sunday 5 April when Manchester United are set to visit Meadow Park, although it is highly unlikely that the FA Women’s Super League will resume during that weekend.
