Departing Arsenal utility player Katrine Veje has agreed to join Swedish top flight club FC Rosengard according to reports on The Gunners’ official website.
The 28-year-old Danish international, who can operate both in defensive and midfield roles, is leaving the former Barclays FA Women’s Super League club this summer with her contract coming to an end.
Veje took to her personal Instagram account to confirm her Arsenal departure last night and it has now been revealed that the player will return to Scandinavia where she will link up with Damallsvenskan side FC Rosengard.
The Dane is no stranger to football in the three kingdoms with Veje having already represented Danish clubs Vejle BK, Odense BK and Brondby IF earlier in her career while she has also played in Sweden during a spell with LdB FC Malmo, the club who have since rebranded as FC Rosengard.
Veje has spent 18 months with latest club Arsenal, although the player’s 2019/2020 campaign was severely hampered by injury. She made eight league outings for the club in total, all of which came in Arsenal’s 2018/2019 FA Women’s Super League title-winning campaign.
The move to FC Rosengard sees Veje play back in Scandinavia for the first time in three years.
