Blackburn Rovers hotshot announces departure

Blackburn Rovers forward Natasha Flint has this evening announced that she is leaving the club.

The 23-year-old netted a hugely impressive six goals in just nine appearances for the Lancashire club in the FA Women’s Championship last season but will move on to take up a new challenge in 2020/2021.

The player announced her Blackburn Rovers departure on her Twitter account earlier this evening, thanking staff, players and fans for their support during her three years with the club.

Flint started her career within the Centre of Excellence at Manchester United before she joined The Red Devils’ city rivals Manchester City. The striker was a regular in the Manchester City side during their early days as a professional club and Flint was an FA Women’s Continental Tyres Cup winner with the blue side of the city in 2014.

After leaving Manchester City, Flint featured for AFC Fylde, Notts County and Sheffield FC before joining her latest club in 2017. The player has since helped Blackburn Rovers to promotion to the second tier while her goals this season have been hugely important in Gemma Donnelly’s side securing their FA Women’s Championship status for another year.
