This week has brought the eagerly anticipated launch the MCWFC OSC Yearbook 2020, which is the third edition.
The book is again compiled meticulously by renowned Manchester City author Andrew Waldon and features a stunning cover of Ellen White in the original artwork of Lesley Ross.
As with the past two volumes, the book is designed to cover the previous season on the pitch with a review of each game, along with all of the OSC ‘s activities in the past calendar year away from the games. There is also a plethora of other fascinating features.
Contributions this year have come from Neil Mather (Manchester City Ladies founder, original manager in 1988 and our OSC president), former Manchester City star Gail Redston, Halvor Hoerring, City Fan TV’s Jennie Sullivan, OSC Chair Sarah Bland, Man City Women Fancast presenter Emma Meredith-Shone, Dan Pentland (Editor of FAWSL Full-Time Magazine) plus any more contributions from a number of our wonderful members.
Obviously this year has seen us and Andrew face a difficult and unique set of issues when compiling the book due to the unprecedented situation caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, however, we are very proud yet again to be able to present this record of our season both on and off the pitch.
Again due to the pandemic situation, we have no idea when we will be able to return to games and therefore sell the book conventionally. To accommodate this situation, we have taken the decision to launch the book a little earlier than in other years and to sell primarily online. We have taken many orders already through our main social media channels and will be dispatching these orders next week. This is the only way to guarantee yourself a copy at the moment.
If you would like to order a copy, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or via Twitter at @MCWFC_OSC and we will provide you with the information for ordering. We are very happy to announce that the book has not seen a price rise, we have managed to keep it at just £10 (plus P&P).
Finally, I’d like to thank everyone who has contributed to this year’s MCWFC OSC Yearbook and look forward to seeing the reactions to it when they are dispatched.
