A date and venue have provisionally been set by UEFA for Arsenal’s long-awaited quarter-final tie with French club Paris Saint-Germain in the 2019/2020 UEFA Women’s Champions League.
The Gunners were originally scheduled to take on The Parisians over two legs during the last week of March and first week of April but the competition was suspended as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.
UEFA have always wanted to bring the competition to a conclusion based on a sporting outcome and European football’s governing body recently announced plans for the tournament to be completed during a 10-day period in Spain in August.
It has today been provisionally confirmed that Arsenal’s quarter-final tie against Paris Saint-Germain will take place on 22 August behind-closed-doors at the Anoeta Stadium in San Sebastian, Spain.

Should Arsenal progress into the semi-finals, they will take on Lyon or VfL Wolfsburg behind-closed-doors at the San Mames Stadium in Bilbao on 26 August in what will again be a one-off tie. The final of the competition is set to take place on 30 August at the Anoeta Stadium in San Sebastian.
With The Gunners not set to resume domestic action until early September, UEFA’s announcement means that Joe Montemurro’s side will be playing competitive European football during their pre-season training schedule.
