Brighton & Hove Albion have confirmed that Danish defender Matilde Lundorf is leaving The People’s Pension Stadium at the end of her current contract according to reports on the club’s official website.
The 21-year-old joined Albion last summer following a spell with Danish club VSK Aarhus but she found herself regularly named amongst the substitutes.
Lundorf made eight appearances for Albion in total in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League while she was also an unused substitute on the same number of occasions. In the six games which she started for Hope Powell’s side, Brighton & Hove Albion kept one clean sheet, that shutout coming at Bristol City on opening day back in September.
The defender started her career as a highly-rated young prospect. Lundorf was a member of the academy side at French giants Paris Saint-Germain. She spent the 2015/2016 season in France before returning home to begin a three-year spell with VSK Aarhus.
Brighton & Hove Albion has confirmed that they will be retaining the services of no less than 14 members of their 2019/2020 squad. Albion have revealed that Dani Bowman, Kirsty Barton, Jodie Brett, Emily Simpkins, Laura Rafferty, Victoria Williams, Ellie Brazil, Rianna Jarrett, Fliss Gibbons, Danique Kerkdijk, Aileen Whelan, Beth Roe, Megan Connolly and Kayleigh Green have all signed on for next season.
