Lewes have today announced that both Paula Howells and Charley Boswell have extended their stays with the club ahead of the new season.
The news comes hot on the heels of Cyprus international Filippa Savva also signing a new deal with Simon Parker’s side.
Howells joined Lewes as a free agent in December 2019 after an extended spell on the sidelines following a serious she sustained whilst playing for London Bees in 2018. Sadly, she was only able to make three appearances in the red and black of Lewes before the season was cut short so she will keener than most to be get out onto the pitch. The Sussex-born midfielder has already represented England at youth-level and will be looking to find her feet once again in the game with The Rookettes.
Howells’ new deal at The Dripping Pan was confirmed on Lewes’ official Twitter account this afternoon.

As for Boswell, she joined Lewes back in the summer of 2018 after moving from Portsmouth where she was captain. Boswell has gone on to make over 30 appearances so far for Lewes and she will certainly be adding to that total during 2020/2021 campaign.
Boswell’s new deal was also confirmed on Twitter by Lewes earlier today.

Lewes lost a couple of key players earlier this summer but manager Parker is working hard to maintain the core of his squad as his side look to build on last season’s eighth-place finish in the FA Women’s Championship.
