Blackburn Rovers midfielder Lauren Thomas has signed on with the club for the coming season.
The 20-year-old made the move to The Sir Tom Finney Stadium last summer, joining Rovers from then-Barclays FA Women’s Super League club Liverpool.
Thomas is regarded as one for the future by Rovers boss Gemma Donnelly but the youngster still played an important role for the Lancashire club last season. Thomas made seven appearances in the FA Women’s Championship for Rovers, appearing in key victories over Charlton Athletic and Crystal Palace. The youngster scored her first Rovers goal in the 5-2 defeat at Aston Villa in last season’s FA Women’s Continental League Cup.
News of Thomas’ new deal with Rovers was announced via the club’s official Twitter account earlier today.
