Former Aston Villa midfielder Phoebe Warner has joined FA Women’s Championship club Coventry United for the upcoming campaign.
The 20-year-old Republic of Ireland midfielder joins Jay Bradford’s side on a free transfer after leaving former club Villa upon the expiry of her contract last month.
Warner is the second Aston Villa 2019/2020 FA Women’s Championship title-winner to move to Coventry United this summer. She joins defender Alice Hassall at the Butts Park Arena.
Coventry United announced the signing of Warner on their official club Twitter account earlier today.

Warner made one appearance for Villa in the second tier last season in their 3-2 victory over London City Lionesses at Princes Park in August. She also featured for Nottingham Forest with the player having been signed by The Tricky Trees on a dual-registration basis.
The midfielder had often been used as a substitute by former club Villa and she will be hoping for more game time after moving to Coventry United.
Warner becomes the fourth new addition made by Coventry United boss Bradford so far this summer. In addition to Warner and Hassall, the club have also signed goalkeeper Olivia Clark and defender Georgia Popple.
