Coventry United defender Anna Wilcox has agreed to remain with the club for the 2020/2021 season.
The 25-year-old returned to the Butts Park Arena in March following an 18-month spell with Coventry United’s Midlands rivals West Bromwich Albion.
Wilcox didn’t get the opportunity to enjoy any on-field minutes for Jay Bradford’s side last season with the FA Women’s Championship campaign having been prematurely ended due to the Coronavirus pandemic. She will be hoping to finally pull on the green and red jersey when the new 2020/2021 campaign gets underway next month after signing a new deal at Coventry United.
The club confirmed the news that Wilcox has agreed to sign on for the new season via their official Twitter account earlier this morning.

Centre-back Wilcox previously represented Coventry United in the third tier. She left the club in early 2019 to join West Bromwich Albion. During her time with The Baggies, she was a league and cup double-winner with the club.
Wilcox was largely signed by Coventry United boss Bradford to help fill the void left by Jodie Bartle’s departure. The defender left the Butts Park Arena in January to join the Fran Alonso revolution at Scottish Women’s Premier League side Celtic.
