Lewes boss Simon Parker has completed his second signing of the summer with Brighton & Hove Albion defender Ellie Hack moving to The Dripping Pan according to reports on The Rookettes’ official website.
The 18-year-old is a product of The Seagulls’ youth system and the player has already represented Albion at first team level.
It has today been reported that Hack has joined FA Women’s Championship club Lewes for the upcoming season. The centre-back becomes The Rookettes’ second signing of the summer so far with Brighton & Hove Albion teammate Laura Hartley having also joined Lewes earlier this week.
Hack was formerly the captain of the England Schools Under-15s side and she helped them to glory in the Bob Docherty Cup in 2016. The defender has since represented England at Under-16 and Under-17 levels.
The signing of Hack now means that Lewes boss Parker has recruited 14 squad members for the coming season. In addition to the club’s two new signings, 12 members of last season’s squad have opted to remain at The Dripping Pan for the coming campaign.
Lewes are bidding to record their highest finish in the FA Women’s Championship to date. The Rookettes’ best record so far was their eighth-place finish last season.
