Young Crystal Palace midfielder Charlie Goad has joined FA Women’s National League Division One South East club Kent Football United on loan.
The youngster made three appearances for parent club Crystal Palace in the second tier last season, resulting in 102 minutes of first team football.
The level of competition for places has significantly increased at Hayes Lane over the summer with Palace boss Dean Davenport having made a number of really impressive signings. With first team opportunities potentially being hard to come by for midfielder Goad this season, the player has been allowed to join fourth tier side Kent Football United on loan. The move was announced by the Dartford-based club via their official club Twitter account this afternoon.

Goad joins a Kent Football United side who were sitting bottom of the FA Women’s National League Division One South East prior to the 2019/2020 campaign being declared void. The club were promoted to that level of football in 2018/2019 after winning the London and South East Women’s Regional Football League.
The length of Goad’s loan deal at the Glentworth Sports Club has been left undisclosed by both Crystal Palace and Kent Football United.
