Attacker Chloe Burr has joined FA Women’s National League South club Gillingham Women on loan.
Burr has recently had a break from the game but is now looking forward to the prospect of regular first team football in the third tier with The Gills.
The player was thrown straight into the action for her new club yesterday as they won 4-0 at Hounslow in the FA Women’s National League South. Burr played the first 66 minutes of the match at The Tithe Farm Sports Ground as Gillingham Women picked up their first victory of the season.
The Gills had announced the signing of Burr ahead of kick-off via their official club Twitter account.

Burr was a regular starter for Crystal Palace in their first season in the FA Women’s Championship. The player was given 12 starts by manager Dean Davenport as The Eagles successfully retained their tier two status for a second season. The attacker has had some time out following the birth of her son but is now aiming to return to her very top form during her temporary stay with Gillingham Women.
Gillingham Women are playing under their own identity this season after being controversially dropped by the men’s club over the summer. In their old form, they occupied ninth position in last season’s FA Women’s National League South prior to the season being declared void.
