West Ham United midfielder Kenza Dali was on target for France as they defeated Kazakhstan 12-0 this evening in their final UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 qualifying match in Vannes.
Les Bleues had already qualified for England 2022 after defeating qualification rivals Austria in Guingamp on Friday evening but Corinne Diacre’s side did not hold back against lowly Kazakhstan.
Early goals from Elisa de Almeida and Kadidiatou Diani set the tone for what was to come before Marie Antoinette-Katoto bagged a quick-fire double as France established a four-goal lead inside 15 minutes.
Diani netted her second goal of the game before West Ham United midfielder Dali got her name on the scoresheet for the first time in more than two years for the national team.
Eve Perisset then hit France’s seventh goal as the hosts went into the break seven goals to the good.
The one-way traffic continued in the second half with five more goals from five different players. First, Estelle Cascarino found the back of the net before youngster Emelyne Laurent added her name to the list of goalscorers. Perle Morroni’s goal took France into double figures before strikes from Sandy Baltimore and Clara Mateo completed the rout.
France complete their successful qualifying campaign having scored 44 goals while they have kept clean sheets in all eight of their matches.
