Johnson has featured heavily for Nottingham Forest during the first half of the season, helping the club to a mid-table position in the FA Women’s National League North. Her final outing in a red and white shirt came in last month’s 2-1 defeat to West Bromwich Albion in Eastwood.
The defender spent two years with former club Leicester City as they cemented their place in the FA Women’s Championship. Johnson made 17 league appearances for The Foxes in their two seasons in the second tier while she scored two goals for Jonathan Morgan’s side.
Johnson initially arranged a scholarship with the Arizona State Sun Devils upon leaving Leicester City but with the COVID-19 pandemic taking a grip on the world, the youngster agreed a move to third tier club Nottingham Forest in late August. It has not been confirmed whether Johnson is finally joining the Arizona State Sun Devils or if her scholarship is with another American club.
