Chelsea will be hoping to carry on from their three-goal victory over Arsenal in midweek when they travel to Twerton Park to face Bristol City on Sunday.
Emma Hayes’ side bounced back from last weekend’s shock 2-1 home defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion with a bang against The Gunners, easing to victory in freezing conditions at Kingsmeadow.
Chelsea’s latest opponents Bristol City have shown some real signs of improvement in recent weeks under stand-in boss Matt Beard. The Robins are now unbeaten in three matches in all competitions and manager Beard could opt to keep faith with the side which drew 1-1 at West Ham United last weekend. England’s latest new recruit Ebony Salmon has netted four goals in three home fixtures for Bristol City and she is set to provide her side’s greatest attacking threat.
Blues boss Hayes is not thought to have any fresh injury concerns to contend with this weekend. She could opt to rotate her squad with the likes of Guro Reiten, Jessie Fleming, Niamh Charles, Drew Spence, Beth England and Erin Cuthbert all ready for action if called upon.
The Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixture between Bristol City and Chelsea is scheduled to kick-off at 3pm on Sunday afternoon and will be available for fans to watch live on the FA Player.
