Charlton Athletic will be hoping to move further clear of the drop zone when they face Lewes at The Oakwood on Sunday.
The Addicks got the important three points against bottom club Coventry United last weekend to help them in their bid for survival. Riteesh Mishra will be hoping that his side can extend their unbeaten run of three games.
Mishra will also be boosted by the inclusion of fit again forward Ella Powell after she returned in last week’s fixture. She made an 18-minute cameo in last week’s game and will be hoping that she can be in and amongst the goals to help her side pull away from the drop zone. With seven games left of the season, The Addicks boss Mishra will be hoping that his side can secure their place in the FA Women’s Championship for next season sooner rather than later.
Lewes on the other hand have not played since 14 February when they suffered a late 3-2 to London City Lionesses at The Dripping Pan. They come into the game with one win, one draw and two defeats so far 2021. Simon Parker will be hoping that his mid-table side can finish the season strongly to head into next season with some momentum.
In the reverse fixture, Lewes beat Charlton Athletic 2-1 thanks to goals from Megan Mackey and Sammy Quayle. Mishra and his Charlton Athletic side will be looking for some revenge on home soil this weekend.
Charlton Athletic’s FA Women’s Championship fixture against Lewes is scheduled to kick-off at 2pm on Sunday afternoon and will be available for fans to stream live on the FA Player.
