Manchester United midfielder Hayley Ladd has been ruled out of action for the remainder of the season with a hamstring injury.
The 27-year-old Welsh international has been a consistent performer for The Red Devils since joining the club in summer 2019 following their promotion to the Barclays FA Women’s Super League but it has today been confirmed that she will play no further part for Casey Stoney’s side this season.
Manchester United confirmed the news earlier today via a post on their official club Twitter account.

Ladd has made 21 appearances for Manchester United in all competitions this season, scoring her only goal in the club’s 2-1 victory over Reading before Christmas. She last appeared for The Red Devils in their 2-0 win against struggling West Ham United in that historic game at Old Trafford towards the end of last month.
The news comes as a blow to Manchester United’s UEFA Women’s Champions League qualification hopes. Casey Stoney’s side need to win all three of their remaining games and hope that third-placed side Arsenal drop at least four points to allow them the opportunity to climb into the European qualification places at the death.
Manchester United end their season with home fixtures against Tottenham Hotspur and Everton, either side of a trip to relegation-threatened Bristol City.
