National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) club Racing Louisville have completed the signing of former Bristol City forward Ebony Salmon according to reports on the American club’s official website.
The 20-year-old England international striker left Bristol City earlier today following their relegation to the FA Women’s Championship and American club Racing Louisville have taken little time in confirming their capture of Salmon.
The player is understood to have signed a two-year deal at the Lynn Family Stadium. Salmon will be free to play in the United States once her work permit is granted. She joins fellow Barclays FA Women’s Super League export Gemma Bonner at Racing Louisville this season.
Salmon spent two years at former club Bristol City after joining The Robins from Manchester United in summer 2019. The player netted 11 Barclays FA Women’s Super League goals in those two campaigns at Twerton Park while she ended the 2020/2021 campaign as The Robins’ top scorer in all competitions with a healthy goal return of 10.
The forward made her final appearance in a Bristol City shirt on Sunday when the club travelled to Brighton & Hove Albion for a relegation decider. The Robins were defeated 3-1 at The People’s Pension Stadium as their return to the second tier was confirmed.
