Crystal Palace have today confirmed that attacking pair Amber Stobbs and Cherelle Khassal are leaving the club.
The pair featured heavily for Palace in this season’s FA Women’s Championship but they will be playing their football elsewhere next season.
Palace announced the news via their official club website earlier today.
Stobbs joined Palace in 2019 following a spell with their London rivals Charlton Athletic. She can also count Reading, Everton and West Ham United amongst her former clubs. The player has represented The Eagles on 18 appearances in the FA Women’s Championship while she has scored two league goals. The majority of those outings have come in the 2020/2021 campaign.
Republic of Ireland forward Khassal also joined Palace in 2019. She has scored six goals in 29 FA Women’s Championship appearances. The player started her senior career in Portugal with Benfica before enjoying time in both the United States and back home in Ireland. Khassal has been playing her football in England for the last nine years.
Including Stobbs and Khassal, 11 players have now left Hayes Lane during the close season. Palace announced last month that Ffion Morgan, Emma Gibbon, Amber Gaylor, Amy Taylor, Georgia Clifford, Leeta Rutherford, Ashleigh Goddard, Ashlee Hincks and Andria Georgiou were all moving on at the end of their contracts.
