London City Lionesses defender Neville signs new deal

London City Lionesses defender Grace Neville has signed a new contract with the club according to reports on The Pride’s official website.

The 21-year-old former England Under-17 and Under-19 defender was a regular for Melissa Phillips’ Lionesses last season with Neville starting 17 of the club’s 20 matches in the FA Women’s Championship.

With Neville being an important part of the London City Lionesses jigsaw, it has today been confirmed that the player has signed a new deal with the club for next season.

After signing on again at Princes Park, Neville said “I am pleased to extend my contract with London City Lionesses for this coming season. I am excited to challenge myself individually and look forward to continuing my personal career in the game with the support of the coaches and management team.”

Neville started her career with Barclays FA Women’s Super League club Arsenal before joining Millwall Lionesses for the 2018/2019 season. The player has been on the books at current club London City Lionesses since their formation in summer 2019.

Seven players have now opted to extend their contracts with London City Lionesses. Neville joins Shae Yanez, Atlanta Primus, Lily Agg, Harley Bennett, Annie Rossier and Lucy Fitzgerald in signing new terms at Princes Park.
