Crystal Palace have been busy in the summer transfer window yet again with the addition of former Charlton Athletic midfielder Charley Clifford.
The experienced 28-year-old joins Palace on a free transfer after leaving The Addicks earlier this summer.
Clifford made 19 appearances for her former club in last season’s FA Women’s Championship while she netted two goals. The midfielder has spent all of her senior to date with Charlton Athletic, scoring in fixtures against Crystal Palace in 2018/2019 and 2019/2020.

Clifford is a former England youth international with the player having represented The Young Lionesses up to and including Under-19 level.
Clifford becomes the fifth new arrival at Hayes Lane this summer with Crystal Palace having really pushed on with their recruitment in recent days.
The club first signed midfielder Kirsty Barton on a free transfer after the player left Brighton & Hove Albion before adding Leicester City’s title-winning duo Millie Farrow and Aimee Everett in similar circumstances. The Eagles’ latest summer signing was announced this morning with former London City Lionesses full-back Leanne Cowan making the move to South London.
Crystal Palace boss Dean Davenport was always going to be busy in the transfer market this summer. The club opted to release a large number of players at the end of last season in a bid to freshen things up.
