Leicester City have completed the signing of Scotland international forward Abbi Grant according to reports on the club’s official website.
The 25-year-old joins The Foxes on a free transfer after opting against signing a new contract with former club Birmingham City earlier this summer.
Grant had spent the last two years with The Blues but the player deemed it to be the right time to move on for a new challenge.
The forward will now spearhead the Leicester City attack in what is the club’s debut campaign in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League. The striker has netted twice in 15 top flight appearances but she will be looking to improve that strike rate with Leicester City.
After joining The Foxes, Grant said “I’m absolutely delighted to be here; Leicester City is such a huge club and I’ve admired watching the women’s team for a while now.
“I love the direction that the Club is going in and as soon as there was some interest, it was something that I wanted to be a part of.”
Grant is Leicester City’s fourth summer signing. The Foxes have also added Jess Sigsworth, Jemma Purfield and Georgia Brougham to their squad so far this summer.
