Lewes have completed the signing of Brisbane Roar midfielder Izzy Dalton according to reports on The Rookettes’ official website.
The 23-year-old Barnsley-born midfielder returns to the English game after previously representing Bristol City and Nottingham Forest.
Dalton has spent the last two years in Australia with W-League club Brisbane Roar. She made 13 appearances for The Roar in the 2020/2021 W-League. The player has recorded impressive passing accuracy, particularly when in possession of the ball in her own half of the pitch while she created more than a goal every other game last season.
After completing her move to Lewes, Dalton said “I’m really excited to be back in England and joining Lewes.
“The culture and values of the club are admirable and I’m excited to play my part in helping this club succeed further in the Championship this season.”
Dalton is the ninth new arrival at Lewes this summer with the current transfer window having been a particularly busy one for the club. She joins Ellie Hack, Rebecca McKenna, Lara Miller, Freda Ayisi, Heidi Logan, Ellie Mason, Amelia Hazard and Kallie Balfour in moving to The Dripping Pan during the close season.
Lewes begin the new season with a home fixture against Charlton Athletic on Sunday 29 August.
