Republic of Ireland international midfielder Jamie Finn is being reported to have completed a move to Birmingham City.
The 23-year-old has been playing for Irish Women’s National League club Shelbourne but the player is understood to have agreed a move to the Barclays FA Women’s Super League with Birmingham City according to reports on The Shels’ official website.
Finn has spent the last six years with Shelbourne other than a short spell playing in the United States with Florida Gulf Coast Eagles. The player transferred over to The Shels in 2015 following their merger with Raheny United. The player is a former Women’s National League winner while she has twice lifted the Women’s National League Cup.
On the international stage, Finn made her senior debut for the Republic of Ireland against Greece in a UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 qualifying match in November 2019. She has made a further four appearances for Vera Pauw’s ‘Girls in Green’. The midfielder was a regular for the Republic of Ireland’s youth sides in the early days of her career.
Birmingham City are yet to announce completion of the deal at their end, however, once Finn is unveiled, she will become the third Republic of Ireland international in the Blues’ squad alongside Harriet Scott and Louise Quinn.
