Sheffield United forward Georgia Walters has signed a new contract with the club for the 2022/2023 season.
The Blades announced the news this afternoon via an update on their official club website.
The 29-year-old Welsh international forward joined Sheffield United during the January transfer window following a spell with their Barclays Women’s Championship rivals Liverpool. Walters went on to appear for her new club on 10 occasions in the second half of the Barclays Women’s Championship season.
Walters has added further experience to what is a youthful group at Sheffield United. The club’s youngsters will be able to gain further knowledge from the forward in 2022/2023 with Walters now under contract.
After signing on again with The Blades, Walters said “I’m really looking forward to next season, I enjoyed my time playing under Redders and alongside my new teammates.
“I’m looking forward to the new campaign, I feel confident and settled and I know I have so much more to give.”
Sheffield United head coach Neil Redfearn has had a busy summer so far. The Blades boss has agreed new terms with nine players, those being Courtney Sweetman-Kirk, Maddy Cusack, Charlotte Newsham, Tamara Wilcock, Lara Miller, Mia Enderby, Bex Rayner, Alethea Paul and forward Walters.
